Our Story
Established March 2018
As start-up businesses often do, what began as a rather obsessive hobby organically evolved into a speciality coffee roastery at our family home in the heart of Lincolnshire.
Here you will normally find me either in the roastery, looking after our garden and vegetable patch or more than likely behind a film camera documenting the endless adventures children and dogs bring.
This new adventure began after a decade serving in the Royal Air Force as an Engineering Officer, deploying with Typhoon Aircraft around the world. The arrival of our first child, days after returning from 6 months in the Falklands, called for a more stable home life and shift of priorities.
Dedicating my time and effort to raising our two children has been a demanding, stressful and thoroughly rewarding adventure. I entered this new phase of life knowing that at some point I would have to move my focus back to my own future again and that, it turns out, is coffee.
Engineering is a way of life, and one that I believe perfectly compliments coffee roasting through its focus on process, scientific methodology and an eye for small details. Its this passion and strive for improvement that I hope you can tase in every cup of our hand roasted speciality coffee.
